Today, we're taking a look at the Taylor Made deluxe sewn U.S.A. boat flag.Now, this is going to let you show off your patriotism for our great country, either by just flying this because you feel patriotic, or maybe you're in international waters and you want to identify yourself as an American boat. Or maybe the opposite: maybe you're coming into American waters, and you want to fly a courtesy flag while in U.S.A. territory.Whatever the case might be, this is going to be a really nice looking flag. It's made of a durable nylon material, so it's going to be pretty durable to stand up to the elements while it's out on our boat.
It's going to be resistant to any kind of fading from the sun, and any damage from that.It's going to look just as nice on the reverse side. You'll see all our stars are individually embroidered. And it still holds true on the other side. So, no matter which way you look at it, it's a really good looking flag. Each of the stripes are also individually sewn on.
So, it alternates with the 13 stripes there.On the fly end, we'll have our quadruple stitched hem to resist any kind of fraying at that fly end, as it's flying in the wind. Our hoist is going to have the two brass fittings to resist any kind of tearing or pulling there on that side.I'm going to bring this a little closer to the camera so you can get a better look at that. So, all the stars, you can see individually embroidered. So, they look really nice even on the reverse side. And then each of those stripes, individually sewn as well.
The fly end there has that four-stitching to reinforce that. So, it should last for a long time. Of course, if you're getting into any kind of stormy weather, flying in really high winds, you might probably want to take the flag down so that it doesn't get frayed or damaged. And it's always a good idea to also make sure that you let the flag completely dry before you put it into storage. That way you reduce the risk of it getting mold or mildew on it.As far as the size, it's listed as 24 by 36, but it's actually a little bit off from that.
The U.S. flag is a little bit longer typically. So, if we go from the very edge of this hoist, with that white piece, it's closer to 38 and a half inches. If we come in from there, right to edge of that canton, to the end of the fly end here, it's about 37 inches, right on. And then from top to bottom, it's about 22 and a half inches. From top to bottom. Our canton measures about 15 inches, if we go from the edge of this piece here to the edge of the hem. And then from top to bottom, about 12 and a quarter inches. Each of the stripes are about one and three-quarter inches tall.So, it should be a really nice looking flag for flying on your boat to show your love for the U.S. of A. Excellent product. Should last many years. Will be installed on our 24ft pontoon boat.
I was very pleased with the sewing and material of the Flags, they should hold up excellent with the weather.
Looks great and we’ll made
They advertise these as boat flags. I use them on my snow plow one on each side as edge markers. It’s just a snow plow for my pick up but I like having the flags on there and every year I have to replace them under normal circumstances but with these flags, I do not have to replace them this year after year on the plow. They look great, and they’ve held up well.
Quality flag and pole setup
I've spent the past 5 months, completely refurbishing a 1958 Arkansas Traveler 14ft alum. V-hull boat and a 1988 Holsclaw Bros trailer. During that time I've placed at least a half dozen orders from etrailer, as they simply have a vast variety of items and and their website is fantastic, easy to use and their deliveries are prompt and efficient. This flag was the last item I added to this project and being retired military, I think it dressed up the vessel beautifully and I can't wait to see it waving in the breeze during the fall fishing season here in NH!
The product was packaged well and was exactly as described.The shipping was delivered one day after the projected date, but I will hold the USPS responsible for that.
Have had this product, flag for one year and it is doing great. Mounted on our Skiff no issues with mounting or fade so far.
Exactly what I wanted for my SxS.
We live on a 540 acre all sports private lake in the state of Michigan. Instead of flying the American flag like others along the shore line we are flying our last name of Seymour spelled out. Not sure how many boaters that cruise by know what it says, but we do! And we get a lot of compliments on these flags. Thanks
This flag looks to be made well, and is very bright, which I think is great! However I have not used it as of now so I'm not sure how durable it is. The only thing that disappointed me with this order is that it took so long to receive it. I ordered another flag after I ordered this one and received it in a matter of days not weeks like this order.

Not made in the USA complete false advertising package clearly stated Made in China. Send me a made in the USA flag
The flag arrived as described and in good condition.
The material is of decent quality. The image is good but could be much better. My disappointment is that the image is only readable on one side of the flag. The other side is like looking at everything backwards, words and all. Most flags are readable on both sides. The colors are good and only time will tell if it lasts.
It only lasted a few months
I had a taylor made pirate flag on my boat for ten years. Same one at that. Iget my new one and the first outing it ripps up. The reason i went with Taylor was because of the years my old one lasted. I dought this will last to the end of the year.
I recently ordered a flag for my pontoon boat and I cannot say enough good things about the friendly, customer-service oriented folks like Carol C with whom I've dealt. The quality of the flag and attachments were first class and add tremendously to the boat on the water.
In the immortal words of H.L. Mencken, "Every normal man must be tempted at times to spit on his hands, hoist the black flag, and begin slitting throats." This is the perfect flag to hoist.
I forgot to remove this when I shrinked wrapped my boat still perfect no fading yet it’s been over two years it’s flying on my bow in excellent condition with all this hot sun !! I amazed
